== Menus ==
The following shortcuts are generally available in Menus to aid selection

*Move selection upwards <keycap>Up-Arrow</keycap>
*Move selection downwards <keycap>Down-Arrow</keycap>
*Select highlighted item <keycap>Enter</keycap>

These three shortcuts are shown on the menu. Opening Kexi defaults to this menu.

*Quit Kexi <keycap>Ctrl+Q</keycap>

== Editing ==
These shortcuts are generally available for in-field editing within tables, queries, forms, reports, etc. Basic function keys to maneuver around the text such as arrow keys, Backspace & Delete keys, Home & End, function as expected. In addition.

*Cut highlighted selection <keycap>Ctrl+X</keycap>
*Copy highlighted selection <keycap>Ctrl+C</keycap>
*Paste to cursor <keycap>Ctrl+V</keycap>
*Cancel Field changes<keycap>Esc</keycap>
*Cancel Record changes <keycap>Esc</keycap>+<keycap>Esc</keycap>
*Undo latest edit <keycap>Ctrl+Z</keycap>
*Redo (Undo the recent undo) <keycap>Ctrl+Shift+Z</keycap>

== Tabular View ==
These shortcuts are generally available for fields in a tabular view while editing or inputting data.

*Move to the following field (accepts changes in current cell) <keycap>Right arrow</keycap>, or, <keycap>Tab</keycap>
*Move the the preceding field (accepts changes in current cell) <keycap>Left arrow</keycap>, or, <keycap>Ctrl+Tab</keycap>
*Save the currently edited record's data <keycap>Shift+Enter</keycap>
*Cancel editing of the currently edited record's cell <keycap>Escape</keycap>.
*Cancel editing of the currently edited record (if cell is not edited) <keycap>Escape</keycap>. This cancels all recent edits in cells of the current record. This means that in order to cancel editing current cell and entire record, <keycap>Escape</keycap> should be pressed twice, first for the cell, second for the record.

These shortcuts are generally available to move through records in a tabular view.

*Move down one record <keycap>Down arrow</keycap>, or, <keycap>Ctrl+Pg-Dn</keycap>
*Move up one record <keycap>Up arrow</keycap>, or, <keycap>Ctrl+Pg Up</keycap>
*Move down multiple records <keycap>Pg-Dn</keycap>
*Move up multiple records <keycap>Pg-Up</keycap>
*Move to first record <keycap>Ctrl+Home</keycap>
*Move to last record <keycap>Ctrl+End</keycap>
