:The data storage access mechanism for all ''PIM'' (Personal Information Manager) data in ''KDE''. This allows various applications to access the required information in one place. Note that use of '''Akonadi''' does not change data storage formats (''vcard'', ''iCalendar'', ''mbox'', ''maildir'' etc.) - it just provides a new way of accessing and updating the data.

Akonadi

Il meccanismo d'accesso ai dati memorizzati per tutti i dati PIM (Personal Information Manager) in KDE SC 4. Un unico sistema di memorizzazione e richiamo delle informazioni permette efficienza ed estendibilità non possibili sotto KDE 3, dove ogni componente PIM aveva un proprio sistema. Nota che l'utilizzo di Akonadi non cambia il formato di memorizzazione dei dati (vcard, iCalendar, mbox, maildir ecc.), semplicemente fornisce un nuovo modo di accedere ed aggiornare i dati.
