用語集

パンくずリスト

これは階層的なファイル構造を示す方法です；Amarokのメディア元枠の一番上の近くにあります。ホームフォルダの階層から始まり、ファイルシステムの中でそのフォルダがどれくらい深い階層であるかを指し示しています。ファイルシステムの中の特定の場所へ行くとき、その特定の場所より高い階層の全てのフォルダを参照することになるでしょう。Amarokではフォルダの階層の間にある>の連結記号が特定の階層で利用できるフォルダの選択肢を探し出します。ブレッドクラムはお使いのコンピュータのファイルシステム全体を指し示す効率的な仕組みです。

コレクション

Amarokがデータベース内に集めた全ての音声ファイルです。お使いのコレクションは音楽のトラックの規模と構成により変わります。それらは外部機器（オーディオCDや音楽が入っている携帯プレイヤーなど）がお使いのコンピュータに接続、組み込まれているかどうかにもよります。

コレクションブラウザ

プレイリスト

コレクションから再生したいトラックを選択したものです。いくつかの携帯音楽プレイヤーはお使いのAmarokのプレイリストと異なる可能性のある所定のプレイリストがあります。

スクリプト

機能を拡張するAmarokのプラグインです。スクリプトはツール -> スクリプトマネージャから利用できます。歌詞の情報源の追加、ストリーミングの局の追加、お使いのアルバムのフォルダへカバーアートを保存する、プレイリストにある曲をCDへコピーする、などです。

Scrobble

トラックをscrobbleするということは、それを聴いたときにLast.fmのようなウェブサイトへトラックの題名とアーティストの情報を送るということを意味します。そこでその情報があなたのデータに追加されます。

ストリーム、ストリーミング

20世紀のラジオ局のように、インターネットのラジオ局はコンテンツの「ストリーム（流れ）」を送信します。それには音楽、ニュース、論評や意見があります。多くのストリームは、クールストリームのようなスクリプトを用いる、またはメニュー（プレイリスト -> ストリームを追加）から個別に追加することによりAmarokで利用できます。

聴いているトラックそれぞれについての情報です。例えば、アルバム名、トラックの題名、作曲家、アーティスト、年などです。オーディオCDにこの情報を盛り込んでいるID3と呼ばれている標準規格があります。ファイルのアクセス権が適切であればAmarokの中で個別のトラックのタグを編集することができます。
