KNewsTicker accepts RSS feeds and displays them on your desktop or on your panel |
The original KNewsTicker was a kicker applet. There is some imformation about it's early days on the original announcement page
The developer's blog page introduces the plasmoid for KDE 4. It can be used either on the desktop or on the panel.
