Spaţiul de lucru Plasma este unul din tehnologiile cheie ale KDE SC 4.x (de asemenea cunoscut ca şi "Pillars of KDE"), şi unul din cele mai vizibile pentru utilizatori. Cum Plasma Desktop tratează diferit interfaţa utilizatorului faţă de un desktop tradiţional, poate exista confuzie cu privire la ce este Plasma Desktop,ce face şi cum efectuează sarcini comune.
Scopul acestui document este de a arăta cum se efectuează sarcini comune în Plasma Desktop. Fiecare HowTo constă dintr-un topic şi o scurtă animaţie, la care se ajunge făcând click pe link.
Animaţiile sunt codate în formatul GIF şi pot fi astfel vizualizate la majoritatea browserelor web moderne fără nici un plug-in suplimentar instalat.Reţineţi faptul că animaţiile sunt deschise.

The animations can also be used outside of UserBase. The BBCode (used in most forums) to post a linked thumbnail is:
