Amarok kan installeres og bruges på Mac OS X.
Afhængigheder
Følgende er de afhængigheder, som kræves for at kunne installere Amarok på Mac OS X. De vil blive installeret automatisk, hvis man bruger MacPorts.

Installation ved hjælp af MacPorts
For at installere Amarok på Mac OS X skal man først installere MacPorts herfra. Når MacPorts er installeret, så skal man køre følgende kommando i terminalen:
sudo port install amarok
Kommandoen port vil hente alle afhængigheder, kompilere, bygge og installere dem. Denne proces kan tage ret lang tid, fire til fem timer i en helt ny installation.
