List here the things that are different from other programs, and why, so we may start incorporating it into the page.

General:

  • We have an eraser blending mode instead of a seperate tool, the eraser is toggled with 'e'.

Photoshop/Gimp

  • We have geomtetric drawing tools and several brush engines, while photoshop has brush engines as drawing tools.
  • we have a filter brush engine instead of blur/dodge tools.
  • we have vector layers instead of free floaing 'paths'.

Corel Painter:

  • We have a sophisticated colour management engine in Krita that allows you to go beyond just mere RGB and CMYK, and allows you to actually use the ICC profiles from you printer, or to choose for the VFX industry color management tool OCIO.

Painttool Sai:

  • We have a much more versatile engine than painttool sai and colour management.

etc.
