Kopetes mål er at frembyde en ensartet brugerflade for alle dine instant messaging systemer, som er let at bruge og som giver udvilkere mulighed for skrive plugins, som understøtter nye protokoller.

All protocols are plugins and allow modular installation, configuration, and usage without the main application knowing anything about the plugin being loaded.
