Human

Recreational User tasks

  1. Play song, album or playlist. This could include playing a favorite or exploring to find something new.
  2. Play movie, tv show or video clip. This could include playing a favorite or exploring to find something new.
  3. Browse photographs. This includes browsing photographs individually or shared with friends and family (in-person or remote).
  4. Read a book.
  5. Read news.
  6. Communicate with friends and family. Doesn't matter if this is via email, IM, video call, social media or whatever
  7. Play a game. This includes single player or multiplayer games.
  8. Shop for goods or services. Shopping is defined here to mean finding and comparing good or services, regardless of the price (free, freemium, subscription, one-time purchase) of good or service. It might be worth breaking this down into:
    1. Goods or services whose consumption depends on the functions of the OS. e.g. applications, appearance themes, songs, movies, ebooks, etc.
    2. Goods or services whose consumption does not depend on the OS. e.g. food, plane tickets, restaurant reservations, etc.
  9. Track progress on a hobby project. This might include, for example, an art project, or a poetry chapbook, or a remote control airplane. It could also include a hobby project shared with friends.
  10. Customize environment to express personality.
