最初基于 qtwebkit (目前基于 kdewebkit), rekonq 是一个使用 WebKit 渲染引擎 和各种 KDE 技术的轻量级浏览器，与 KDE 桌面无缝整合。其名字引用了基于 khtml 的KDE 默认浏览器Konqueror。

在Chakra中，rekonq已经取代了Konqueror成为默认浏览器，更多的发行版正在考虑相同的动作。当前的稳定版本是rekonq 1.0 (2012年7月)。
