Nouveau sur UserBase ?

Alors nous allons vous aider à démarrer. Vous pouvez lire n'importe quelle page sur UserBase sans créer de compte. Peut-être que pour un jour ou deux ce sera suffisant, mais tôt ou tard il se peut que vous souhaitiez utilisez une page de Discussion pour poser une question à propos d'une page. Pour cela vous aurez besoin de créer un compte. Ne vous inquiétez pas cependant, il n'y a pas plus simple.

Créer un compte

At the bottom left-hand side of any page you'll see the "Log In" link. It's the same link, whether you are creating an account or using an existing one. Follow the link, choose your username and password, and you are ready to go. You'll notice that under Personal Tools it now shows your username, and you have some other links. Take a little time to browse those pages, especially the "My Preferences" page.

Vous avez sans doute beaucoup de questions, et UserBase semble un peu intimidant au premier abord, mais il y a beaucoup de pages pour vous aider à commencer.

Rechercher des pages dans la même catégorie

En bas de page vous devriez trouver un lien de catégorie qui ressemble à [[Special:MyLanguage/Category:Getting Started]]. Si une page est pertinente pour plus d'une catégorie il peut ressembler à quelque chose comme [[Special:MyLanguage/Category:Getting Started|Contributing]]. Si vous survolez la catégorie (la vraie, pas cet exemple factice) vous verrez que chacune de ces catégories est un lien vers une autre page. Sur cette page vous trouverez une liste de pages connexes.

Commencer à collaborer

Lorsque vous êtes connecté, vous avez un onglet Modifier sur chaque page. Votre lien "préférences" vous donnera aussi le choix d'avoir des liens de modification pour chaque section. Ceux-ci peuvent être utilisés pour faire une petite modification ou ajouter un extrait d'une page existante. Vous pourrez également trouver utile de mettre la "Prévisualisation" par défaut.

Whatever happens, you are not alone. If you hit a problem don't be afraid to ask. Use "Discussion" pages for questions about the topics under discussion - they are usually picked up quite quickly. There is also a forum topic for questions about editing. Quick questions that don't need a lengthy answer can also be asked on Freenode IRC, channel #kde-www.

Above all, we want UserBase to be an enjoyable experience, both for readers and contributors.
