Based initially on '''qtwebkit''' (and currently or '''kdewebkit'''), '''rekonq''' is a lightweight browser designed to use the ''WebKit rendering engine'' in combination with various KDE technologies, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into the KDE desktop. The name is a reference to the venerable khtml-based '''Konqueror''' which is currently the default KDE web browser.

Basado inicialmente en qtwebkit (y actualmente en kdewebkit), rekonq es un navegador ligero diseñado para usar el motor de renderizado WebKit en combinación con varias tecnologías de KDE, lo que le permite integrarse perfectamente en el escritorio KDE. El nombre es una referencia al venerable Konqueror basado en khtml, y que es el navegador web predeterminado de KDE.
